Hydromax was developed by Bathmate back in 2004 by John Oakes who holds a Higher National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and has over 35 years of experience in all aspects of automated engineering and manufacturing. After a good friend of John's, who was a keen athlete and motorcycle rider, suffered a serious spinal injury which meant he could no longer gain and maintain an erection, John set to work and created a hydrotherapy pump to help.
